Compute services

Compute services are sub-divided into different offerings that deliver services that allow the execution of compute-oriented tasks in a variety of ways. Examples include the following service offerings:

• Amazon Elastic Cloud Computing (EC2): Delivers a virtual machine instance provisioning and management environment for building highly scalable, custom applications running on a variety of operating systems
• Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS): Delivers the ability to provision and manage containerized applications in the cloud

• Amazon Lambda: Provides the serverless processing of functions and cloud-based computing workloads
